Tanzania Safari 3 days covers three top attractions in Northern Tanzania. While located near one another, each national park features unique aspects, incredible bird sightings in Lake Manyara, including clouds of pink flamingos; mighty elephants in Tarangire National Park, and the endangered rhino in Ngorongoro. Across these three locations, you are sure to capture photos of the Big Five of Africa: elephant, buffalo, leopard, rhino and lion.
This safari itinerary is for travelers considering time and cost, guests spend two nights in comfortable lodges near the National Parks, and enjoy two nights at a top-rated hotel in Moshi town. Guests will be comfortable with available wifi, delicious meals and access to a swimming pool. 3 Days safari to Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and Tarangire NP. The safari offers you the chance to watch a wide variety of wildlife amongest the most varied landscapes.
After a short briefing in the morning, you will travel in a south-westerly direction to the Tarangire National Park, best-known for its huge elephant herds. The park has a diversity of landscapes including grass, acacia woodlands and forests. Animals range from swarms of yellow breasted lovebirds to kudus, buffaloes, elands, giraffes and the weird-looking gerenuk. Predators include lions, leopards and hyenas, while wild dogs are very rare. In the late afternoon you will leave the park and travel to the Lake Burunge Tented Camp, where you will spend the night. After breakfast you leave the Tarangire Area and via the town of Mto wa Mbu, you make your way to the Lake Manyara National Park. The park stretches along the 600 m high Rift Valley Escarpment and is dominated by the shallow and alkaline Lake Manyara which attracts thousands of birds, including huge flocks of flamingos. Other animals in the park include buffaloes, elephants, hippos and Masai giraffes as well as troops of boisterous baboons and monkeys in the forests. The park once became famous for tree climbing lions and if you are lucky to spot them you will be amused by the site of these animals lounging on branches in the acacia trees. After extensive game viewing, you will leave the park in the afternoon to continue your journey to Karatu. You will spend the night in one of the three beautifully located Tanganyika Wilderness Adventure Lodges.

This morning you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater – a wonderful haven for wildlife. Ngorongoro is unique in that almost all the wildlife lives within the crater walls hence you have the opportunity to find game easily. Rhino, in particular, can be seen regularly as well as prides of lion and other predators like cheetah. Enjoy lunch by the hippo pond before beginning your drive back to Moshi/Arusha.
