Kilimanjaro Day Trip, You certainly can’t climb Kilimanjaro in a day, but our day tour to this iconic, snow-capped mountain will give you an excellent taster of why Africa’s highest peak is so popular. During the course of the day, we will follow the popular Marangu Route and walk as far as the first hut – the Mandara – where our picnic lunch will be taken. As other trekkers continue upwards, bound for the summit, we will make the descent again and return to Moshi/Arusha

Kilimanjaro Day Trip – The price for our Marangu Day-Hikes is way cheaper than that for the full climbing adventures, making it possible to get a taste of Kilimanjaro at an affordable rate. All prices include park fees, English-speaking guides and crew, meals and drinks, Kilimanjaro National Park fees, group equipment and other necessary items. Personal hiking gear (outfit and sleeping bag) is not included in the package. You should either bring the gear with you, or hire it from us here on the spot.

Kilimanjaro Day Trip our day trips start from Arusha, Moshi or Marangu. The excursions are ideal: in a short time, you can visit the national park by observing the great diversity of wildlife or experience the everyday life of the indigenous people of Tanzania.

After breakfast and briefing, drive to the Marangu village and proceed to Kilimanjaro National Park Gate (45 minutes), register at Kilimanjaro National Park Authority offices and commence the climb. Walk through the rainforest to the Mandara hut located at 9,000 ft / 2,740 m. A side trip to Maundi Crater is a good way to see the atmosphere of the Northern part of Tanzania. Also you will have your lunch at this point. Then you will descend to Marangu gate for 2 hours.

At the end of the day trip, you can choose if you want to be dropped off at Kilimanjaro International Airport, at Arusha Airport or at your hotel.

Mandara hut is the first hut in along the Marangu route (“Coca-Cola route”).
The walking starts from the starting point of Marangu Route (1970m) it’s just an hour drive from Moshi Town to the Park Gate (starting point) and three hours walking from the gate to Mandara hut (2700 m). Enjoy walking in the Montane forest where Mandara hut is situated on the forest belt border just below the Maundi crater. Walking in the montane forest and shortly in the heath and moorland vegetation with beautiful endemic flora to Maundi crater you will enjoy the breath taking view of magnificent Mt. Kilimanjaro, also you can get the chance to see varieties of birds, primates i.e. Black and White Colobus monkey and varieties of trees and beautiful flowers.
