Share the Word of God, Bring some bible with you, Give to others
Sharing the word of God is an act of love for God and others. It also helps us to connect more fully with our own faith. Inviting others to church or small groups, sharing Scripture and faith-based books, and telling our own stories are all effective ways to share the Gospel
Why is it important to share the Word of God?
Hearing and believing God’s word is important for salvation, which means having our sins forgiven, our relationship with God restored, and a promise of eternal life with Jesus. God wants everyone to hear the Word and be saved, and we have a part in spreading that word
What does the Bible say about sharing the Word of God?
1 Peter 4:10-11. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God
Why is it important to spread the Word?
The Spread the Word to End the Word campaign is about creating communities of respect and inclusion where all people are valued, even those who may disagree with our position, so it’s important to respect their opinions as you want them to respect yours.
Keith Wheeler, a Tulsa man who has carried a 90-pound wooden cross 22,000 miles through 160 countries over the last 29 years, this summer realized one of his long-time goals — to carry the cross to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.
“It’s been in my heart for seven years to take the cross and lift it over the highest peak in Africa,” Wheeler said.
He had planned to make the trek five years ago with another Tulsan, Walker Moore, founder of Awe Star Ministries, but at the last minute a health crisis in his family forced Wheeler to cancel the trip.
Moore made the trek, carrying a large balsa wood cross, but he did not raise the cross up when he reached the summit.
“I wanted to save that honor for Keith,” Moore said at that time.
What does mountain mean in the Bible?
Mountains have a logical religious symbolism for Jewish and Christian cultures since they are “closer to God” who dwells in the heavens (as in the sky). As a result, God often reveals himself on a mountaintop in the text. In the Old Testament, the mountains of Sinai and Zion are most significant.
