5 Days Lake Natron Safari Itinerary
5 days Serengeti and Lake Natron safari will take place in the northern part of Tanzania where you will visit Lake Natron and also go for a wildlife viewing experience in the famous Serengeti national park were you will engage in game drives at different times of day in search of wildlife species like the big five and also for a chance to see the wildebeest migration depending on the time of the year when you engage in the safari.
- Arrival.
- Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park.
- Day 2: Tarangire – Lake Natron.
- Day 3: Lake Natron – Serengeti National Park.
- Day 4: Serengeti National Park.
- Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Moshi
Day 01; arrival
You will be picked up by your guide on arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport and after introductions and a short briefing; you will be driven to our hotel from the airport drive is only 15 minutes where you will check in at Snow view hotel.
Depending on your time of arrival, you will engage in a tour around Bomang’ombe and visit places like the Maasai area where you will interact with the locals and get to know more about their way of life and also learn how to make local crafts or you will visit hot spring for swimming. You will also enjoy shopping and later return to your hotel where you will have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2; Drive from Bomang’ombe to Lake Natron
After having breakfast at your hotel, your guide will drive you from Bomang’ombe to Lake Natron. You will engage in a walk to the waterfalls in the company of a Maasai guide. The hike to the waterfalls takes about 2 to 3 hours and takes place along the river bed with beautiful views of the valley. You will also enjoy seeing flamingos along the shores of Lake Natron.
After your experience around Lake Natron, your guide will drive you to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3; drive to Serengeti national park
You will have breakfast at the camp and your guide will drive you to Serengeti national park after en route game drive to the camp.
Your guide will drive you to the central park of Serengeti national park which is home to numerous wildlife species like elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, giraffes, impalas, zebras, kudu, waterbucks, wildebeests, cheetahs and many others. You will proceed to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4; full day in Serengeti national park
After breakfast early at the camp, your guide will take you on a morning game drive around the vast savannah plains of Serengeti where you will search for the big five like elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos and many other wildlife species. You will have a lunch break after your morning game drive.
You will engage in an afternoon game drive to search for more wildlife species in Serengeti national park and later return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5; drive from Serengeti national park to Bomang’ombe
You will start your day with breakfast at the camp and your guide will drive you back to Bomang’ombe which will take about 8 hours and drop you off at the airport or your hotel in Bomang’ombe which will bring the Tanzania wildlife safari to an end.
