Simba Campsite

Simba Campsite is a huge public campsite set on the crater rim and it is situated on the south-western rim of the Ngorongoro Crater Rim about 2 km from the crater village.

Simba campsite has well maintained toilets and regularly attended and hot water showers (heated by wood fires) and firewood for sale.

Wild animals from the crater and Serengeti as far as from other part of Ngorongoro conservation Area frequently visit the campsite which is not fenced, you should move with caution.

It is possible to visit the lodge bars and restaurants in the evening, but driving always should be cautious, as many animals move a lot during the night. The Lodges which are closer to the camp are Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge and Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. The campsite can become fairly cold (from an African perspective) and sometimes noisy at night. Our cook will place you tent in the area where you will be comfortable and easily reached. He will also take care of your belongings while you are in game drive. We will provide camping equipment as far as extra sleeping bag just in case you forget yours. Simba Campsite (public campsite) is share campsite so you should expect other people from deference company.
