Budget Safari 5 Day, The Serengeti is a great place to visit any time of year and for those with a little more time this is possible on a 5 day safari. You will also visit Tanzania’s most popular national parks: Ngorongoro, your best chance of seeing the Big Five and also opportunity to visit the Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world. Tarangire, fantastic for bird lovers and also for its high density of elephants. Lake Manyara, home to a large number of baboons and also the famous tree climbing lions, unique to this park.

Day 1: safari from moshi to Tarangire

This morning you will travel to Tarangire National Park with picnic lunch boxes. Tarangire is one of Tanzania’s largest national parks and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, and cheetah and up to six thousand elephant. The late evening drive to Mto wa Mbu just 15 min to Manyara NP overnight at Twiga Campsite or Fanaka Campsite.

Day 2: safari from Tarangire to Serengeti.

This morning after breakfast driving to one of the most famous game parks in Africa, the Serengeti.  Here is home to millions of wildebeest during the migration and over the huge flat plains you are likely to find lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena and many other small predators. Enjoy an on route game drive to your campsite and then the experience of sleeping in the middle of the Serengeti. Overnight in the centre of the Serengeti at Seronera Camping sites.

Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

An early morning start in the Serengeti with a sunrise to find cats before they retreat away from the blazing sun during the day. After a few hours game drive in the Serengeti drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. Overnight on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater at Simba Campsite.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

This morning you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater – a wonderful haven for wildlife.  Ngorongoro is unique in that almost all the wildlife lives within the crater walls hence you have the opportunity to find game easily rhino, in particular, can be seen regularly as well as prides of lion and other predators like cheetah. Overnight at Twiga Camp or fanaka camps

Day 5: Lake Manyara to Moshi/Arusha

After breakfast, drive to the Lake Manyara National Park for a full day game viewing in the park with your picnic lunch boxes. This park is famous for tree climbing lions and large herds of elephant (which are not shy to come straight up to the vehicle), we will drive back to Arusha/Moshi.
