Detailed itinerary

Day 1: A Tour to Kibale Forest National Park (KFNP)

A hefty breakfast be offered to you at a hotel in Entebbe/Kampala and after, hit the road to Kibale National Park via Mityana-Mubende to Fort Portal City then go check into a lodge in Kibale. On your road trip of 5-6 hours’ drive, expect to enjoy incredible views of countryside including the lush forests, tea plantations, crater lakes and a lot more. 


Arrival at Fort Portal Tourism City comes with a brief stopover for lunch break. After, you will have insight on what makes Fort Portal a great Tourism City in Uganda then proceed to Kibale Forest National Park.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking Kibale N/Park & nature walk Bigodi

Early morning cup of coffee/tea, and after, transfer to Kanyanchu Tourist Centre at the heart of Kibale National Park. This will be where the park official takes you through briefing about Kibale chimpanzee tracking rules and park guide allocated to you. Other than chimps, there are plenty of other primate species, birds, butterflies, flora to keep an eye on. 


Actual trekking to see chimpanzee community commences at 8:00am and expect to cover 3-5 hours including 1 hour of observing chimpanzees and photography. After, walk back to have a relaxed lunch at the lodge, share some of your memories and later in the afternoon, expect to go for a rewarding Bigodi wetland walk.

Day 3: A safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP)-safari game drive

A hot cup of tea/coffee and after, vacate your lodge in Kibale then be driven to Queen Elizabeth National Park-3 hours. Head to the Ishasha area to enjoy exceptional view of the tree climbing lions and other game, birds. Retreat from the Ishasha game drive and if time allows, you can embark on a short Kyambura Gorge nature walk then check into your lodge.

Day 4: 2nd safari game drive & boat cruse on Kazinga Channel

Breakfast early enough in your lodge and after, a 2nd safari game drive follows and today, it will be along Kasenyi savanna plains-Queen Elizabeth National Park. On 2-3 hours of guided game drive, expect incredible sight of predators, birds and other species of wildlife like buffaloes, antelopes. 


Lunch break be made after 2-3 hours of your exciting guided game drive and later, you will have Kazinga channel boat cruise also taking you 2-3 hours. On this boat trip, species of interest include aquatic birds, hippos, crocodiles and a lot more.

Day 5: Tour Maramagambo Forest & travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (BINP)

Take a hot cup of tea/coffee and after, go tour Lake Katwe to learn more about salt mining activity mostly done here. Later, connect to Maramagambo Forest for a guided nature walk. Later, proceed from Maramagambo to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to check into the lodge.

Day 6: Mountain Gorilla Trekking Bwindi-The South-western circuit

Transfer to Bwindi offices to be briefed at 7:00am about gorilla trekking guidelines and this should be after you have had breakfast. With everything set, trekking mountain gorillas in Bwindi can take you close to 3-6 hours inclusive of 1 hour of face to face encounter upon locating assigned gorilla group. Once you get done with observing their daily behaviors and photo taking, retreat to have a relaxed lunch. Have your day completed uniquely with Batwa community tour.

Day 7: Departure from Bwindi N/Park-southwestern circuit

Breakfast early enough and after, leave Bwindi for Kampala or Entebbe where you will be dropped off by your experienced driver guide. On an en-route trip, a stopover will be made at Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch and later, photography at Equator crossing at Kayabwe. Drop off by your Uganda driver guide at the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe-marking the end of the trip.
