Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Ground travel to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri
Early arrival at Kigali Airport (KGL) where you will be picked up and transferred to Volcanoes National Park (VNP). Expect to spend 2-3 hours driving up to VNP where you will check into your lodge for overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Volcanoes N/Park-Ruhengeri
Have a hefty breakfast and after, assemble for briefing in Kinigi. Get to know what gorilla trekking rules/guidelines to observe and also a gorilla group shall be allocated to you to track. All treks to see mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park are led by experienced guides and a normal trek can cover 2-6 hours including one hour which will be allowed for you to spend with these species..
During a gorilla trek for 2-6 hours, higher chances are that you will also come across other species including primates, birds and others. Return from the long day trek to see gorillas and have a relaxed evening at your lodge. Note;-being a long day search, on this day, don’t leave behind a bottle of drinking water and snacks.

Day 3: Golden monkey Tracking Rwanda & Iby’Iwacu Village Tour
A delicious breakfast early enough and after, briefing on Golden Monkey Tracking rules will be led by the park official. You will be led into the forest to search for the golden monkeys, and this will take you about 2-4 hours.
Upon finding the golden monkey troop, you will have an hour of face to face, take photos and then walk back to the lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon/evening, your day will end with Iby’Iwacu Village Tour.

Day 4: Return to Kigali & enjoy city tour
A heavy breakfast early morning and after, check out of your accommodation facility. You will spend 2-3 hours to drive back to Kigali where you will have the best of Kigali city tour then drop off to a hotel or Kigali airport (KGL).
